Living with Parkinson's since 2017, I have found exercise to be a great way to manage symptoms. Despite living 140 miles away from Charles, I have been able to participate in Box Positive Zoom classes, and found them to be fantastic. Charles enthusiasm, drive and humour provides a welcoming and challenging experience. Dave
My Dad attends Box Positive on a regular basis and can't speak highly enough of both Charles, Box Positive and the wider group! In addition to the improvements in his mobility, the social aspect of meeting a group has been fantastic! Box Positive has been brilliant and we can highly recommend for PD patients.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the age of 49 and the boxing has helped me tremendously in my core strength and movement. Boxing has helped me deal with challenges that PD brings. Apart from the improvement in my physical fitness it also allows the meeting of similar people and with a coach who is passionate about improving the lives of people who live with Parkinson’s. Andy
My name is Roger Oakes I am 72 years old and
have had PD for 18 years . For the last 5 years I have been going to a local gym but recently I have become a little bored with this and on seeing Charles ‘ article in the newspaper I decided to contact him and find out more about his project.
I attended the first session and have been to all but three sessions so far . From day one I have found this to be very serious exercise and frankly I still do but it is a challenge for all of us and the competitive attitude is very evident amongst us PD sufferers .
Charles gives us a variety of exercise and changes routines regularly to keep us fresh .
Most of this is to improve balance and co- ordination two main problems and Charles
(with Ricky) seem to have a deep understanding of what we need.
Come along and try it - it is a chance to see other PD sufferers, have a chat and find out how other people deal with “what life has thrown at us”
Having first been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at 38, life became a very scary prospect dealing with an incurable, progressive condition, and I was constantly fearful of the future. But instead of lying down and let the condition control me. I decided to get up and fight it back.
That’s when I discovered box positive. A boxing exercise programme tailored to counteract and improve symptoms caused by the disease.
I was a little wary of the thought of going into a boxing gym, but from the first session my fears were allayed and I began to feel the benefits the programme offered. Charles Delve who runs box positive is extremely knowledgable of PD and it’s effects and is a great coach. By doing 1-2-1 sessions we work together on improving fitness, strength, posture and coordination.
6 months on I am now up to two sessions a week, the results are incredible! I feel better physically than I ever have done and mentally strong again. I am faster in movement and cognitively more focussed.
I owe a great deal to Charles and box positive for literally turning the effects of Parkinson’s on its head and allowing me to feel a sense of normality again. I have been given a new lease of life and developed a great left hook. The more I put into the training the more results I get back. Plus it’s good fun and extremely therapeutic. Steve
I've found that since going to Box Positive I have more energy and flexibility, which I put down to the exercise. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2007 and believe exercise is key to living life to the full, Box Positive helps me do this. Les
